Well I am just astounded. I had never in all my years heard of Roosters flying up and kicking. My daughter does not feed the chickens alone anymore. I was allowing her to "play" with them alone and for whatever reason he would "kick" her but now we dont do that anymore. Thanks for all of the advice and if the Rooster continues to be aggressive to more people I will get rid of him. And I do not make a practice of "ridiculing" my children's fears. It was quite funny at the time - as my daughter was laughing when she first told me about it. Then when she told me he did it again, I stopped her from going alone to the chickens. She is not afraid of them as long as I am with her.
So please dont consider me a bad Mom! My children come before the chickens - but the chickens are mine and not the children's so I have to keep the children away from the chickens which is hard to do when the children want to play with the chickens - especially my older girls.
