It's very hard to tell from pictures if an embryo is alive and well. If you can see a web of veins with a dark center, you're golden. If there's a dark ring, or no defined shape in there, the embryo might be dead, or never have existed in the first place. You probably already know all this, but again, hard to tell from pictures.
