Do those chicken harnesses actually work

I got a harness and leash for my chicken so I could take it on walks. But whenever I put it on the chicken, they seem to lose their coordination and they stumble around and fall over. I’ve seen so many videos on YouTube about how to put it in and their chickens are fine. Can someone explain what’s wrong

I got one of those as a Christmas gift from my sister. I have never used it. But it is always a good laugh when we talk about it. I wonder if it is too heavy for them.

They don't like new stuff.....it will take much time to get used to, if ever.

I’ve seen numerous unboxing videos on YouTube where the chicken tries it for the first time and it acts normal
