Do you clip your ducks' nails?

My ducks are housed outside on rather soft ground, and it seems like their nails are not wearing down much. At what point do you trim? What's a good length?

I started clipping the nails when my drake was 5 weeks old. If they feel very sharp and pointy use a dog clipper and just take a tiny bit of. Do it every month or when you see its to long. A few stones to the waterplace is also good or sandpaper on the stairs to the water or sleeping area.
