Do you give DE to chicks? How much?

I have 2 week old chicks and 6 week olds. Will DE work for cocci and other parasites? Do you give them to the 2 week olds? If so how much do I give them.

I read a lot on DE in this forum. Do a search for DE.

I have 3 week old chicks and simply sprinkle it in with the pine shavings. Since DE is a mechanical pesticide, and actually cuts the exoskeleton and dries out the bug, it winds up being a great natural way to get rid of pests.
Our chicks will dust up the bedding, and this makes sure they are dusted with DE.

Oh, make sure its food grade or listed as pet safe. Don't use the pool filter stuff!

I sprinkle a little on the bottom of brooder and on the floor of the coop. I use food grade DE. I don't measure it, but I don't use much.
