Do you have a disabled chicken?

Do any of you currently have a disabled chicken that you care for? If so, what are the extent of the disabilities and how long have you had them?

I have a chicken that fell ill. I have been syringe feeding her for 5 weeks. Been to the vet three times. It's none of the deadly diseases. The vet thinks it is a neurological event related to the brain or spine. She seems to be in no pain but cannot walk, although she tries very hard. She cannot stand. She self feeds but not enough to maintain her weight, so I have been syringe feeding for the last five weeks.

She was our pet before this happened or I would have already put her down.

Are there other disabled chickens in the world and to what extent do people go to to keep them?

I have 4. Well, 3 one died but he was 1 before he died. Peep. He had a leg injury so we wrapped that co-flex around his feet to help him walk. It helped great! He was walking, running and almost jumping after a few months of never wanting me to leave my side. Always had to have my hand on him Day and Night! He died of a heart attack I think.

One is blind in one eye. She came to us that way. {Hatchery} She can't see out of it and it bothers her. She wipes it on my shirt and snuggles with me while sucking on my hair.

One other is a little blind but doing good, we had to bring her in and get her fat and healthy. She is back in the coop and doing great. Brownie with babies{ she set and raised while in the house}

He was only an hour old when I brought him in. His mom didn't want him and pecked his head. I brought him in and am still taking care of him. He is a little special in the head now. He follows me around and calls me like I am a hen and tries to feed me.
