My goose is old and senile evidently , so she enjoys putting mud in the water bucket that both her and the chickens drink out of. I have two buckets. She used to just do one bucket but now she is doing both. I put the buckets on a 3 ft square mat but she is still able to walk past the mat, pick up the mud and then bring it back and dump it into the bucket. A good 2 to 3 inches of mud each. I have tried everything to keep the water away from the dirt so now I'm thinking if I just get a waterer the chickens can drink out and she can't, that might be my best bet...
However, I did buy one waterer with those little cups and the goose, somehow, drinks every bit of water out of the cups.

Just wondering if there's something I don't know about. I am curious about the nipple waterers too, as that is probably the only thing she couldn't get dirty.

This is my view.
Muddy water is not a bad thing for chickens to drink. If you do choose nipples, try the horizontal style. Those are more freeze safe, during cold winter. (assuming you have a heated container)
I don't own geese, so not sure of their drinking requirements. Was surprised that the water cups were sufficient for goose.
My assumption was ; geese, were similar to ducks. Needed deeper water to get all of the beak submerged.

WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, :highfive:
