Do you have to vent sex chickens at the first few days?

As above. Do you have to vent sex chickens at the first few days old or can you also do it at a few weeks old? Thanks

Professional vent sexers sex chicks when they are newly hatched. From what I have read it takes about 5 years for a vent sexer to become proficient at vent sexing. Chickens are much more difficult to vent sex than ducks or geese.
