right now I have a blue Cochin with inflamed foot feathers I'm wrapping her feet after treating for bumblefoot her bumblefoot is doing a lot better since I used a product called pred when I wrap them but when I unwrapped them her feet were swollen and red and inflamed and I'm worried they're going to get infected my vet is never around very much and it's hard to get a hold of him and I'm not sure if he knows about feathered foot birds and how this happened so I'm looking for a thread on here about the subject if you have any information please let me know thank you

So, is the bumble foot treated completely and now you just have the inflamed red area?

Could it be that the wrapping was too tight, causing the inflammation?

Did you recheck the feet and make sure there was nothing else there that could be causing this such as a splinter or continued infection?

I often put my chickens in a little small sick coop I have when things like this happen. I give them easy access to food and water, no roost, and just let them take a rest from walking for a few days. Usually this fixes up inflamed feet right away.

I think pictures will be helpful. How long were the legs wrapped? I have wrapped feather footed breeds before and not had an issue. It's possible that maybe something in the Prid was irritating to her, I know that it's used often with no issues, but everyone is different. Or maybe the wrap. Hard to say. I think I would use some coconut oil on them and give them a chance to calm down. Coconut oil is soothing, non-irritating and mildly antibacterial. Hopefully once pictures are seen there will be more suggestions.

Fever rap 2 days soak sore feet put prid on them wrap them and then the next day they kept wrapped and then the following morning I soaked her feet and took off her wraps that's when I saw her top of her feet were all inflamed and swollen and red here are pictures

Sorry that was misspelled I meant they were wrapped for 2 days and then the next day I unwrapped them in the morning

Well the bumblefoot is not very bad right now she still has a little bit on her feet but I'm afraid to treat it I don't know if I should soak her feet or what I should do I really don't like our vet I made an appointment in the morning but it's kind of overly expensive for me right now I would like to know what I could do at home first and then if it gets worse I'll take her to the vet and get antibiotics

I don't think I would jump straight to antibiotics. I think I would give her a soak, get everything off, let it dry and give it a day to see what it looks like. If it's just irritation, then it should improve once the irritant is removed.
