I have plenty of duckweed if you want some to start duckweed production for supplemental feed for your ducks and chickens. I have a perfectly healthy, large, spring fed pond. Absolutely no chemicals or fertilizers are used anywhere on the 20 acre property. Let me know if you’re interested

Do you have duckweed every year? I plan to move to Western NC in the near future and see if I can grow duck weed as a livestock food source. If this is something you offer every year I will see if you are still on BYC in the future. Do you do anything with Duck Weed yourself? Humans have eaten it in stir fry, I love having something around I can eat when everything else runs out.

yes, every year my friend. I have many ducks and they enjoy to swim around and eat it. The chickens love scratching through it when I pull it out of the pond when it starts to really build up. I place it as mulch around trees. I have not eaten any myself but I’m not against it. Contact me next year when you’re ready. If you’re close enough you’d be welcome to come by and get as much as you want. I’m in Rogersville TN
