Do you put food/water in the coop??

My flock has food/water available at all times throughout the day, but I am wondering if I need to put food/water in the coop at night too. All they do is sleep, right?

i move my feeders and waterers into the coop at night, partially to keep the feed away from night visitors. But also my chickens wake up before i do, and that way they can munch and drink until i let them out.
