Do you really need to neuter a rabbit?

You'll obviously want to neuter if you don't want baby bunnies (if you're keeping him with a female). Neutering also prevents or lowers the risk of your rabbit from developing reproductive health issues, which can mean a longer life for your bunny. Males neutered at a younger age are less likely to develop undesirable behaviors, such as spraying and humping, and they can be friendlier than intact males, which makes them better pets.

Most of my non-neutered rabbits would spray urine, especially during the breeding season, which for rabbits is most of the year. Some do not develop the habit, but be ready for it. They can jump in the air while urinating and spin like a lawn sprinkler. My understanding is they are more likely to spray when other rabbits are near. Single kept rabbits may not.
