Sorry I don't have a photo! First of all, what does ISA stand for? Second, after looking through MANY photos of people's ISA browns, I'm still not sure. I get the feeling that whatever ISA stands for, it has something to do with cross-breeding ability. Anyways, my Jilly-Boo is as buff as can be from just below her neck on down--and no feathery legs. Her neck and head are as dark red as my RIRs. She lays brown eggs. Is she an ISA brown?

That was a really informative link--thanks! Do you think that if you cross a RIRed and an RIWhite, you could end up with a half red and half buff chicken?

No you end up with a chicken that looks like an Isa brown... some folks call them Production Reds.

The Red and White chickens you are thinking of are Cinnamon Queens.

RIR X White Leghorn. Egg laying machines. I'll have to get a pic for you, they are beautiful.
