None look to be of show quality, in my opinion. Most of them look like mix breeds other than the Sussex and the Silver Laced Wyandotte, but they are still too young. I suggest you take it SLOW, research the breeds you want to show and learn what they should look like from the Standard of Perfection, rather than buying them and THEN learning.

If you are wanting to show you need to keep your breeds and colors seperated.

I don't know much about New Hampshires but I don't think they are show quality. I raise wyandottes and yours do not appear to be show quality.

well, I dont know anything about the New Hampshires, but they look nice. I had anconas, but not to show. So Im not informed about them.

I can tell you that the SLW hen has kind of nice lacing as far as I can tell. But it is hard to really say 100% if a chicken is show quality by a picture, because they may be distorted because they are moving, and you have to be able to tell if they have the correct body type, if their combs have any issues or anything on their body under the feathers that would be a disqualification. From a picture you cant see the wing feathers either. Certain breeds have to have a certain pattern of coloration on their wing feathers. Its just hard to tell unless you have the actual chicken in your hands to flip around and feel up.

but if you take staged pictures up close with them "set" so that their body sits the way it does naturally, you might have a better chance at getting very good opinions.

it is true that i am new to this but the chickens i have are beautiful i think???? I am not sure about all this but thanks for the advice! I love the sussex but i guess none of them are show quality....

thanks anyway!

Just because they may not be show quality doesn't mean you can't love them

If you like them that is perfectly fine! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And you don't have to show chickens in order to enjoy them

Just because they arent show quality doesnt mean you cant show them if you want to.

Your chickens are beautiful, even if they dont follow the APA standard. Dont give up. If you really want to show competitively, find a breeder and get a couple show birds. Your wyandotte hen has potential in a 4-H show if you know any kids that would want to show her. I dont know how old you are, but I am assuming you are out of the 4-H age.
