Do your babies (chicks) known our voice?

So I am obviously a first time chick mommy. I am sitting here and I can see one of the babies in the brooder. So I start calling her name and she perks up stretches her neck out and was looking. Then I started calling the other ladies and it was like they were talking back. It was such a sweet moment.

I know exactly!! I always enter the room with "hi girls" and they all stand at the edge of their brooder looking up. Proud Mamma!

Pretty sure mine do! Ever since I've had them I have been home days and interacted with them throughout the day. Well yesterday I was in class all day and when I got home they went crazy!
