Hi all . I have a some pic for silver pheasants shot in a some place in Vietnam but i don't know what species for them . Are they a Annamese silver ,beli silver , beuli silver or boloven silver pheasant ? Does anyone explan for me. Many Thanks

According to Jean Delacours book Pheasants of the World,he resembels the Annamese silver,but the pictures in that book look like crap.There is no picture in Keith Howmans.www.GBWF.org shows a picture of the Annamese and I believe that's what you have.You lucky dog,I'd love to have them and the Jones silvers also.

Thanks for respone Tony . I don't think all birds in pics i post is Annamese silver . You can see the white feather on the chest for 2 guys you will see it not identical.

He have many white feather on the chest

And this bird is not have many white feather .

And in this pic the feather is light and tail is long.

I wish i can sent a some to you

Now i will try find a some Edward from wild .A question i want ask you . Pheasant can live and lay with 1 leg ? Thanks again.

I don't know.If they can get around,eat and drink,but can she handle the male breeding her?I thought it might be 2 birds,then I saw the other picture and figured it was just turned the other way.Didn't the guy tell you what he gave you?Didn't you ask?You have to ask questions about everything when buying birds.If the seller don't give you the answers,I wouldn't buy his birds.

Yes,all are good for your birds.What type of pellet do you feed them?They should get a gamebird pellet.There is no need for corn at all until cold weather.

Layer pellets are fine,but they also need a gamebird pellet.I mix 50%layer to 50% gamebird pellets for the summer.I slowly wean out the layer pellet and feed 75% gamebird pellet to 25% cracked corn for the winter.They need a higher fat content to get them thru the winter,so give them suet every once in a while.Always have grit available to them,they will eat it when they feel they need it.
How old are your jones?My lewis didn't lay until they were 3 years old.Just before breeding season around Feb,give them some small kibble dog food,lettuce,fruits and millet.This may help the breeding process.

My Jone silver is 1 year old . But in my country Pellet for gamebird is not avaible . Can i change to a some ? Why corns no need with place have hot weather ?
