Does anyone have any art project ideas?

My aunt is looking for a cool art project to do with some 7th-8th grade students. I gave her an idea, but I'm assuming she needs more. Does anyone have any cool art projects that would be fun for gifted 7th-8th graders? Thanks!

We always liked doing the faux stained glass window mosaics with colored tissue paper. It makes for a really pretty classroom when you hang them all up too. Not sure what grade level it would be though.

would the school donate a wall they could paint? if they are gifted in art then it could be a nice job for them.. a mural of some sort

How much time will they be spending on this art project?

Maybe a decoupage plaque or something with mosaic. Dried beans, rice spit peas. These can be dyed to the colors needed. I used to teach arts and crafts a long long long time ago. Paper mache or perhaps egg carving something simple. Candle making is easy and fun.
