Does anyone have any experience with Rainbow Ranger Broiler?

Looking at Meyer Hatchery's website and they are selling them for $2.27 each.


Also about how much food does each meat bird eat? I'm trying to budget it out for the spring. Also is flock raiser good from start till butcher? I've also heard that catfish food can be fed to them as well, is that true?

I would think that they are similar to the freedom ranger which will eat a few more lbs of feed than a cornish X. My cornish cross ate 15lbs of feed per bird by 8wks, so if I were you I would figure around 18 lbs of feed per bird, that's probably a little high, but i personally would rather over budget than under budget.. I would keep them on a high protein broiler feed ( I start mine on a 25% broiler starter and drop down to a 20% broiler grower), if cost is the issue then you could give them a 20% flock raiser and they should do okay, they might not gain weight quite as fast though.. Hope this helps..
