I have been trying to cross a jersey white giant rooster and a road island red hen with out much success i have hatched some but with leg issues both rooster and hen are healthy is this a cross that can not be done sucessfully ..or maybe incubator issues..thanks..

I have no real experance with genetics but I dont see why it would cause issues. What kind of bedding do you have in the brooder and do they hatch on wire? What kind if issues . spraddle leg, curled toes?
