I had a silver Braekel years ago. He got ornery and my kids were small so I rehomed him to a farm that took roosters. I hatched a chick out of him and her name is Ducky. She's amazing. Shexa tough (survived 2 predator attacks) and a good forager. She never goes broody. She's in her 6th year and still lays eggs daily or every other day. She even lays consistently during the winter and outperforms younger purebreds. Like I said...she's amazing. It's my undersnfib that Greenfire imported them but a cat took out their breeding stock
