Does anyone have Marans from MPC?

I have a blue marans and a blue copper marans.

They lay eggs like the one on the right. My blue marans was supposed to be a blue Cochin, but turned out to be a marans.

I was supposed to get Partridge Rocks, got SL Wy's instead...not sure what their problem is with getting the right birds for an order
Seems to be a ongoing problem with MPC

I don't know who lays what egg in my coop but all of my current chickens came from MPC. My dark layers are 2 BCM, 1 Blue Splash Maran, and 1 Welsummer. Here are some samplings of what I assume are their eggs. I've been pleased with the egg colors so far. And my splash hen is GORGEOUS.

I have two from last August.

My BCM I am rehoming. She lays a solid 3.5 on the marans chart, inconsistently. Sometimes a 4, maybe. Sometimes less and a little speckled.

My chief complaint is she is TINY and her eggs have remained puller size for a couple months.

If you have the chance I would 100% recommend the BLUE CUCKOO MARANS from MPC. Last year something I ordered wasn’t available and while chatting they had a blue cuckoo. They specifically told me that the breeders birds for the blue cuckoo are some of their nicest birds. Hopefully they’re still using that same breeder stock or sourcing from the same place.

She was by far the largest most robust chick of the ten I had that age. Fastest feathering by a long shot. Also one of the earlier to lay and from the start laid an egg that rivaled the size of most of my two year olds.

Shade is unique sometimes pretty interesting and spotted and sometimes a very nice 3, rarely but occasionally a 4. I only have those two marans right now from MPC so I’ll post a couple photos of the eggs if you like.

Okay the BCM poops on her egg, too, so I have a ton in the fridge cause they’re the only ones I have to wash.

I take it back about size of the egg, it’s sort of getting bigger so that’s cool.

Here are three of her eggs to show her various light shades when washed.

This photo has two of the blue cuckoo eggs on the bottom, compared to a BCM egg on the top.
