does anyone know of a home made anti inflammatory for chooks?

Anyone out there have any ideas on what i could use as an anti inflammatory for a chook with swelling. I live a fair way from shops, vets etc

We used to use a paste (topical only) made of baking soda and a little bit of water on stings and bites - helps with swelling for those problems. I've never used it on a chicken.

Thank you. I will give it a try. I don't suppose baking soda can hurt a chook.
