Does anyone know what is making this hole under the coop?

Something is digging a hole under the coop. It is happening during the night. I can put a garden stick through the hole as far as it will go. Seems to be a tunnel. The coop is sitting on a 2 inch piece of Styrofoam insulation and the coop has hard wire cloth attached to the bottom so nothing can get in the coop. I am just curious what it is. I am posting a picture to help.

Looks like a RAT hole to me.

Rat, mole, vole, gopher, mouse, chipmunk, any on these could and would have dug the hole looking for a dry winter home. Hence the rule to bury wire around the coop.
