I have seen a few references to using flea shampoo for mites. Has anyone used this with good results. Was wondering if I shampood my birds first and then dusted them if that would get rid of the critters any better? Yes, I'll dust the coop and all too. Thanks.

If you want a new flock of chickens use the flea soap. dusting them will work just fine. the coop is going to be your real problem. seems the eggs of the mites never die. Clean and dust every day for two weeks is the only way some can get rid of them. I have seen some just burn the coop down and build a new one.

No need to burn down the house. Ivory soap water bath- non sudsy.Dink-swish-dry.
It will smother the varmits. DE for the coop and run
will slice and dehydrate them
