We've been having some funny colored eggs lately. I have 8 RSL's and their eggs range from a dark brown with speckles to a light brown. So in the past few weeks we've gotten a few eggs that are barely colored or resemble an easter egg that has been dipped in one color and then had just the ends dipped into another... so striped. And they are a little on the rough side. We had one that was thin shelled as well, but since then we haven't had any issues with shell thickness... just color.
They will be 24 weeks tomorrow... so is this an age issue? Or is it something that I indicated a problem that I need to address?
Top row: Our normal color variations
Bottom row: The odd balls in just this week.
ETA: Sorry for the super shiny pic... it's super humid here today and it's been so hot I've been refrigerating my eggs.
