They'll just flat out tear you apart if they decide to. Face and eyes, hands, other parts, they'll go for those first because they know you need them if you want to get away.

I feel love for everything so much it hurts, and I recently found out this is not normal. I am wondering if anyone else feels this way, and why some people and not others do. Is it an autism thing? A vegetarian/vegan thing? What do these people have in common?

I just had to have my vet put my hen Pinot down tonight. She was a 3 1/2-year-old brown ISA. I know what you mean about loving so much it is painful I wish I did not feel this way either I am an absolute mess over this I’m struggling so hard because I want to make sure I did the right thing. I don’t think it’s normal to be this attached and devastated. Where did you get the information that this is not normal? I am curious.

I was talking to my dad about how upset I feel for everything all the time, and how I love everything so much, and asked him if everyone felt like this, and he told me no. I then asked a bunch of people, and some answered no.
I am so sorry about Pinot. It might be normal to feel that way about pets, lots of people do. The thing is, I feel a lower level of that for everyone and everything, and a pet level for chickens in general. Factory farming just kills me emotionally, I cry about it until I feel numb a lot.
