Does giving high protein foods stop efficiency of Corid?

I believe my 5 month old pullet has cocci. She has diarrhea, is not eating her feed, and seems lethargic. We have been giving Corid since yesterday. I would like to give her some scrambled egg since she has been eating very little for a few days now but I found this on another site:

"If your giving them Multi vitamins .. stop
If you giving them any protein foods .. as treats stop

Only give them the crumbles and water and medication

Any form of protein or multi vitamins will stop the medication for cocci from working - See more at:

Does anyone know if this is true?
Thank you!

I've never heard or read that about protein, and have only heard from lay people about not giving vitamin B (thiamine) during Corid treatment. Since chickens are eating 16-20 percent protein feed with vitamins, I don't believe that. Nothing that I have read on the Corid website says that either. That is only my opinion, but I would look up Corid and the manufacturer, and read about it for yourself.

Thanks Eggcessive! It's good to get some reassurance from knowledgeable chicken folk like yourself!
She is starting to show signs of improvement from the Corid already and has started eating a bit more. Tomorrow, I'll go ahead and give her some scrambled egg.
