Does my coop need a pitched roof?

It's going under a covered back porch. With none sticking outside. So snow rain won't be a huge concern. Do I still need a pitched roof? If so can I just lay 2x4 flat, then one on its side then like 2x6 or 2x8 on side at the front top to give a few inches of pitch? The cover holes with wire? This will also add ventilation. Yes no?

I can't see why not, unless you'd want the roof pitch as a space to place roosts in, like some people do. I've made a few flat-topped structures before, and they worked well.

How large is the coop?
Does the porch have a solid roof?
What will the roofing material be on the coop?
I would pitch the roof in case you ever decide having the coop under the porch just isn't working out for you or the birds and you want to move it outside.
Regardless if you decide to leave it flat (if under a solid porch roof and you doubt you'll ever want to move it) you should still install lots of ventilation.
Do you have any plans to share?
