does she look anywere near laying?

this picture was took a few weeks ago of my cream legbar, melow.

she looks like she's getting more red in face and comb. Does she squat when you come close to her?? That's a sure sign of laying to come soon.

How old is she? Her face and comb is beginning to go red, so that's a good sign. Is she squatting, yet?

Hijack alert: I LOVE Cream Legbars! Are you in the UK? I fell in love with that breed and I really wish they were available in the US. If I had the money to import a breed, that is the one I'd pick. Your hen is so beautiful!

yer im from the uk i baught her for a pet shop and im not very good at maths but she was about 16-18 weeks on august the 17th and thankyou she is my favouraite hen so beutiful so tame

Since I know nothing about the breed, I can't tell you much. Do some research on the breed. Are they suppose to be early layers? Late layers? Good layers, or more ornamental? Some breeds don't lay as much as other breeds. Wish I can see a pic of all of her.

She's close, I'd say you'll probably have a blue egg in about a month. Her comb will become visibly red when she's laying.
