Does snake repellent work on King snakes?

I have been losing chicks and incubating eggs to King snakes. I saw an advertisement for Dr. T's Snake-Away. It seems like I could sprinkle this around the outside of the coop to repel the snakes. Does anyone know if this is effective?

You could wrap the outside with hardware cloth to keep the snakes out.
