Does this hens eye look normal?

Does this girls eye look normal? Normally I don't see their third eyelid.. also she's been clearing her nose often.

we recently added pine chips to their coop so im not sure if they are mildly iritating her?

That is possible the pine shavings could be irritating her. Her eye does look a little watery and her head feathers puffed up. Could you give her some Vetrx?

I think the about the same ! She wouldn't let me get very good pictures as she was running away

In a motion picture I sorta got a picture of her other eye. Not sure I would get very good pictures in the dark while they are roosting

This is from summer.. looks like her eyelids have maybe always been like that and I'm just overthinking it? I'll keep an eye on her.

I have an australorp hen with what I call a lazy nictitating membrane in both eyes. We got her at 16 weeks and she came to us like that. When we contacted the farm we got her from, they said they occasionally have hens with a similar fault. They note the hatchery each chick comes from on their website and ours came from Ideal. Only sharing in case yours came from there too. Maybe can track a genetic eye issue back to the breeding stock.

Our girl gets irritated easier than the others but fortunately has a really good response to just basic flushing with saline when her eyes are bothering her. I had the vet check her when he was out and he just recommended flushing unless there was a reason to believe there was a need to also use terramycin (we used neosporin until he wrote me a script for T). Hopefully yours will be the same and just have mild issues.

That might well be the case.
Keeping an eye on her just in case sounds right to me
