Does this look like a maran egg?

I've been trying to decide if my hen was a black sex link or a black copper maran. After posting pictures of my chicken everyone agreed it was a black sex link, but than three days ago she layed her first egg and today this one(picture below), and I wondered if I got a black copper maran (possibly mix). I got them from a hatchery and didn't know what we got. What do you think? The other eggs in the carton are red sex link eggs.

That egg looks pretty dark. Could be a marans or marans mix that you ended up with. Her eggs will get lighter as the laying season progresses.

She does look like a BSL. Marans hens have huge combs, photo from the internet below.
The egg would likely be more chocolate colored. But you do have a beautiful hen that lays gorgeous eggs!

Where did you get her? Hoover hatchery has a hybrid called midnight majesty Marans. They are one of TSC’s suppliers. They may or may not have feathered legs and they feather out all black but sometimes have copper coloring on the neck as well.
