Does this look like a maran egg?

Could it be a Black Sex Link Marans?
I never heard of those. It could be.
Seriously doubt they'd use Marans in a sexlink....but who knows,
'recipes' are varied and probably proprietary.
I do know that BSL's can have rather dark eggs and have been mistaken for Marans before.

The black sexlink hybrid Marans would be considered a black sexlink since the hen has the barred gene and the rooster is solid. It is made by crossing breeds different than the typical BSL.

If I was betting though, I am guessing a regular BSL which happens to lay darker eggs. Not sure though...

Beautiful egg color!
