I'm curious, one of our hens works on laying her eggs for HOURS and she makes it seem so dramatic because she sings the loudest egg song (not exaggerating..it is SO very loud) for hours until she lays. And then it's a tiny little egg each time. She just started laying a few weeks ago, so I expected eggs to increase in size, and also expected it to get "easier" for her to lay...but it doesn't appear to.
So my question is: could the amount of time she works on the egg AND the super loud clucking be signs that she has difficulties or something is wrong with her?
Any thoughts?
Thanks!
