I have always had dogs terrified of fireworks, and neighbors who set them off a whole few weeks before the 4th, and then after. Oh, and New Years, etc.Hi I have three dogs and I have a small one that is very very scared of fire works and there are gonna be fire works in about a week where I live I was wonder how to keep him calm with the things I have at home what are some good ideas thanks

The things that have worked best for me are white noise machines, fans, radio/tv, and basically being home with them so as to comfort them. One dog did respond well to being wrapped like the thundershirt does (ACE wrap works well), and the others just found a small space to hide. I have tried crating in the past, however my german shepherd would become so destructive and distraught not being able to run from kennel, that she would gnash her teeth and actually bend the walls inward. We were always just much better off with medications if needed, and laying on the floor in a quiet, dark room.
