This morning my dogs got in with the chickens by mistake. Fortunately I was in there at the time, so I pulled them out pretty quickly, but one hen was roughed up a bit. She had some feathers pulled out, and has been listless all day. I think she had an egg in her that broke, as it kind of looked like liquid egg on her vent and is a little bloody. Is there something I should do to "clean her out" and make her more likely to survive?

How is she today ? I would start off with a warm bath(you can do this multiple tiomes a day) where you just hold her bottom or bottom half in the water, this will hopefully help loosen her up and allow the broken peices out. If that doesnt help then you can manually remove the egg shells by sticking your finger in her vent with some mineral oil on it and try to manually remove the eggs, if this wroks I would use some triple antibiotic ointment in the vent and conitnue the warm baths for a few days... Also keeping her in a dark warm place will stop her from forming any more eggs until you can get her healthy...

Thank you for the advice. She is still about the same this morning. I was afraid I'd find her dead, but she is just siting there. She won't go out to forage, but she is alive. I'm going to go get her to give her a warm bath like you suggested.
