Dog attack

We recently had a dog get on our property. One hen died and her partner was caught, but not injured (I checked her all over) however she is not perching in coop, she is laying on floor. She has been getting in a laying box and eyes the perch but acts like she can't get on perch. Everything else is fine with her. I am going to try a lower perch. Any suggestions?

If the dog got hold of her she may be bruised and sore even though the skin is not broken. Watch for green coloration on her ribs, chickens bruise green. You might give her some sugar water if you don't have electrolytes, 1 tsp sugar to a quart of water, it will help treat her for shock. I'm sorry she lost her companion.
