Ok, I feel better today. Here is the full story.
We, (Me and my father,) had to carry her to my car, as she was not walking well. She just wanted to lay down. We got in the car, and she rested on the back seat.
We got to the vet, and they checked her vitals right away. They were not good, so they brought her back.
Shortly after she went in and after we filled out the paperwork, the doctor came out and told us that it would take 2,000 dollars just to TRY to get her through the night and run tests.
Me and my dad both looked at each other, and decided it was best to euthanize her.
The doctor took us to the room, and in a little bit, they brought Ladybird in on a cart. They left us alone, and me and my dad said our farewells.
My last picture with her. I am crying in the picture.

The doctor came in, and injected the sleeping medicine. She went right to sleep. After that, she was injected with the euthanizer.
She passed peacefully.
On the way home, me and my father cried.
Thats the whole story.
Thank your for sharing what happened. I know it was not an easy decision to have to make.
For what it is worth coming from someone you don't know although it was difficult it was best that she is not suffering.
In December I had to make that decision for my sweet Jack.

I guess what I am trying to say is you are not alone in your loss even if it feels like it.![]()
Ten years old is a good long life for a big dog like a St. Bernard. Your lovely Ladybird enjoyed a wonderful life with you.
You made the right decision when it came time to end Ladybird's suffering. That's one of the hardest but most important and humane things we can do for our beloved companions.
I'm so sorry for your loss.
