Dog food instead of cat food?

Alright, if it doesn't hurt them I will continue to feed them cat food. I was just scared it would hurt them because quail in their natural habitats probably wouldn't eat anything with taurine in it since taurine is in meats and quail in the wild wouldn't be eating meat (well they would eat insects, but I don't think insects have taurine in them). Thanks

^ They would have a hard time eating the animal though. They have tiny looking beaks and they're not hookbilled so it would be hard for them to rip off the meat. plus I think that taurine is mostly in organs?
