Dog food?

Do your neighbors have pets? Dogs, anything? (surely they do, or why would they have dog food, eh?) Suppose you go visit them with a dozen eggs or some cookies and an offer to chat. Explain that your chickens, like their dog, are on a very specific, scientifically formulated diet to get the healthiest and best eggs from them. And giving your chickens dog food makes as much sense as you giving their dog chicken food. Or for people to eat dog food, see? So silly! So you know they will understand you asking them not to do it any more. And hope they enjoy the eggs. Thanks for being such good neighbors, hand shakes all around. Problem solved, one hopes. Good luck.
Yes, They have dogs. I have had issues in the past and they do believe it is okay to do these things. They believe they should be able to do what they want as long as it doesn't physically hurt a human. I sooo wish it had been that easy but thank you for your comments.

Sigh. In that case, maybe the next step is to file for a restraining order? Keep them off your property? Stay away from your animals? Specifically, STOP FEEDING your animals? You've asked them nicely (document it, preferably with photos and witnesses), they refuse. You are in your rights to seek legal backup.

I understand you can't install a fence - but can you grow one? Willow trees grow really fast, and I hear bamboo is wonderfully invasive ;) I feel for you, the situation you're in - it's one of the many reasons I could never live in town. If money were no option - motion-activated sprinklers -- you could say it's to deter predators... and water the bamboo!

I caught my neighbors in my yard yesterday feeding my girls. I don't do neighbors well ( complete loner here) this is not acceptable to me in any way. I do live in town and I have no trespassing signs up. These people have the mentality if they see something they like they can have it, take it. or play with it. Anyways they were feeding them dog food. I politely asked them not to feed them and to reframe from coming onto my property. I have security cameras up and again today they were feeding the girls dog food again. Will eating the dog food hurt them? They did eat a lot of it today.
They might start barking and digging holes all over the yard.

If it hasn't gone too far, maybe you could leave a little feed for them to throw through the fence. ( Of course I don't know your layout.)
Neighbors can be such a pain! Given my drather's I'd be in the wilderness. :idunno
