Dog nipple and breast tissue swelling. Pregnancy or false pregnancy?

My 1 year old mini dachshund mated on the 5th of September about 8 days after the start of her heat cycle. That week, she developed mammary swelling under each nipple- a typical heat symptom. Since then her mammary tissues have become much more enlarged and she now has a whole line of connected mammory tissues on each side along with very swollen nipples that have gotten much lighter in color in the past couple weeks. She also has had a little white/grey discharge from her vagina in the last week. She went to the vet for a health check 2 days ago. He palpated her belly and he said her uterus was enlarged which was a good sign but he did warn that young dachshunds often have false pregnancies. She would be 26 days post-mate today (october 1st). In your opinion or experience, do these symptoms point more towards a false pregnancy, or the real deal? Thanks for taking the time to read this!!

Realistically those symptoms can be signs of either a pregnancy or a false pregnancy. Good luck for a successful litter.

Generally it's the real deal. Dogs don't have false pregnancy to often. By the 6th week you will definitely see considerably more belly development too. Good luck with the puppies.

This thread is almost 3 months old, so no point for advice now, but I do wonder if there were puppies or not.
