dog who hunts egg nests

Full story on my blog. But the short of it is our dog is finding the hens nest on our property. We free range only. Since I had all nest boxes full with broodies and then with momies, hens started laying out of coop. Yesterday dog showed my she could find the nests. Today she found all the nests including single egg nests. I did not train her for this. I have it all down on this amazing discovery today on the blog in my sig. We are so proud of our Noel.

I know ours is eating one a day. I have proof of that from a nest I left 4 eggs in. But she has not touch it since she stole the one egg. Tell you what though this makes looking for eggs outside the coop alot easier.
