Hi! Which do you prefer and why?

I love dogs and I do not like cats! I think dogs are much more loyal than cats and a dog will love you no matter what! I know a few people who are scared of dogs and like cats because of this. Usually if dogs attacks someone, first off I think it’s usually not the dog but the owner, and second, you don’t hear about cats attacking people because all you have to do is kick it. Unless it has rabies or something it probably can’t do much damage. I think it’s amazing that dogs can be trained to help people with disabilities or find drugs or trapped people! I ain’t never seen a cat do that before. 😂 and I say all this being attacked by dogs before (not bad) but even as a kid I’ve loved dogs. They are just the best!

What do you think?

I love dogs!! I have a 2.5yo German Shepherd that I am training as my personal cardiac alert service dog (any tips on how to do that is greatly appreciated). I didn't actually get him for service dog work, he was originally just supposed to be a pet, but my sickness has now gotten to the point where I need a service dog to avoid injuring myself. I love training dogs, so I am excited to start this journey with Ranger, but also a little scared because I have never trained a working dog before, and there is a lot he has to learn 😅. Again, any tips or resources on training cardiac alert service dog is greatly appreciated!

Oh I have a German shepherd as well! I have no idea how to train service dogs, sorry! I don’t know if this is of any help but I looked it up and got this, https://k9ti.org/free-workshop/?utm...sMH-nCbog7fJo_VDh5mkkS6-rAiELXqQaAgMuEALw_wcB

Good luck! Dogs are the best!

I've always been a dog person, but I found the cat that "fit" me and now I understand and appreciate cats way better.
Dogs and cats are so different from each other I can hardly compare them honestly. My cat will casually hang over my shoulder like a rag while my dogs are non stop bundles of energy. I love them both equally because of these unique aspects they add to my life.

I also find it interesting you think cats "can't do much damage", injuries from cats are extremely serious. It's not even the amount of damage as the infection risks they pose. I know someone who almost lost their hand to a cat bite.

Cats. I'm one of the people scared of strange dogs (usually. Some don't send the same scary vibe when I first see them as most do) and also just like how much quieter cats are. Mine does make noise, but it isn't constant howling and barking when she's upset, it's quieter growls if anything.

Plus I like that it's acceptable to have them use a litter box instead of having to let them outside multiple times a day.

I like all animals. I have two cats and two dogs, and I like them all equally.
