Doing the Bucket duck bob - why?

"hussy head bob" I love it!! Our Lucy, who is almost 5 months old does it and we roar every time we see it.

Now it makes sense! I have to video her when she's doing it. It's hysterical. Lucy's a Pekin.

pbjmaker--It does sound like what you're describing is different from the "hussy head-bob." I would be concerned also, but I'm not sure there's much you can do. It seems like it would be uncomfortable. Maybe some sort of nerve disorder?

YAY! It seems to work! I didn't realize how loud the hen in the background is. She a little serama in a cage in the coop and the other laying hens were too close to her babies.

Well done! The best footage of the head bobbing is in the last third--up till then, I couldn't really tell what you were talking about. It doesn't look too extreme, but it also doesn't look like a come-on. I don't know what it is. Wish I could help!

Okay, that is completely different than the hussy head bob (loooooooooove that phrase-gonna steal it). It's some sort of odd thing just to her. I had a horse who "twitched". She was jerk her head hard to the left. She did it ALL the time, like a nervous tic--but never under saddle. She had one foal and passed it on to her daughter who did it her whole life. It had to be some sort of nerve issue. I never did get an answer from the vets on why. I don't think anyone knew.

As long as she has no issues, I'm sure it's fine.

pbjmaker--lol! Actually, it's a comment on my yard, silly. And on people in general, really. I think everyone has good in them, but you sometimes have to look really hard for it.
