I bought a sexed Dominique pullet as a day old chick, and Marzo is now 2.5 weeks old (hatched 6/10). Her headspot was smaller than that of my Dominique hen Juin, and she has the dark wash down the legs that you would expect of a pullet. I’m just uncertain about the amount of white I’m seeing on her, particularly on her shoulders. Juin was a bit darker at this age, and pictures I see online show no striping at all for pullets at 2 weeks old. So far the comb is pale and small.

Is this double or single barring? Can I be confident that she is female?

I'm guessing male, but I wouldn't say 100% at this point. Barring can be variable even among female Dominiques. I'd give it more time to feather out some more.
Thank you Jed! I’ll update in a couple of weeks, by then I imagine Marzo’s comb will be more telling.

Here is an update, now that Marzo is 4 weeks old. Her comb is still small and very pale pink, similar to the color of my Dominique hen Juin at the same age. I think her feather coloring is darker than males her age that I’ve seen, but she’s still way lighter than Juin was. I’m feeling that she is indeed a pullet as ordered, but I’d like to know what @JedJackson and others think please! :)

Sorry for the poor lighting. I tried the last one with the flash on.

I think pullet now, too. She's as light as she looked like she might become.
