Hi all - I'm totally stumped on whether my Dominique pullet is actually a roo. The dark shade had me thinking pullet, but then I saw the new draping tail feathers. Any guesses? I took her in a month ago, so I think she or he is around 4 months old. Sorry for the bad pic, she's a quick little bugger.

Pullet, 100%. Tail feathers have nothing to do with it at her age. Those will molt out. A cockerel would be much lighter colored and have a huge red comb by now. It's a GIRL! Congrats!

Thanks! Everyday I changed my mind. Not that I wouldn't mind a Dominique roo! Now the polish silkie cross behind her is the only mystery, but I'm leaning toward girl.

Oh, I'm no help with Polish or Silkies, not my cup 'o tea and I have none of either, sorry. Welcome to BYC!
