I have a 20 week old Dominique. I thought it was a rooster but it has a slightly smaller comb than the other roosters and its shaped more like a hen. any more features to identify. It also has brownish neck feathers.

Thanks

One way to identify males is by looking at the ends of their hackle feathers. Males of almost all breeds have pointed hackle feathers, whereas the ends of female hackle feather are rounded.

This should work for Dominiques, but will not work for "hen feathered" breeds like Seabrights and Campines.

If you post a picture, others on here could confirm pullet or cockerel for you
