I've read various posts (not on this forum specifically, but others) that have conveyed Ayam Cemani are unfriendly or indifferent toward people. I've got to say that they've been very sweet since day one, especially the roosters. The minute you go into their pen, they jump into your arms (literally). This is one of my kiddos holding one of the roosters that jumped onto her leg and nuzzled her until she picked him up to pet him.
Anecdotally, they do appear to be a little flightier than other breeds I've had the honor to keep over the years. Ameraucanas and EEs act like dogs IMO, while I'd probably have to relate these guys more like cats.
