Dont know if quail egg will hatch

I got some quail eggs off of amazon which where 10 days late so thats 1 flag. Then i candled them everyday(everytime i turned them), yesturday was day 4 and they all look like this. Are quails eggs supposed to look like this on day 4 or did my eggs die?

I think they look OK. The yolk does darken so I think that's what you are seeing there. Often it's difficult to see development before day 5, sometimes even day 7 - look for the little 'spider' on the yolk.

I find it easier to shine the light in at the fat end and hold the egg sideways, looking down on it, as the developing embryo always floats to the top (so look before you turn them). A phone flashlight is just the right size.
