I just ate some cantaloupe and left a lot of the fruit on the rind for the chicks. He eats it almost all the way down to the skin before giving the rest to them. He thinks I spoil them.

I do the same thing! Actually, I diced up a whole melon for mine the other night and slapped his hand when he tried to eat some

I do the same thing lol I have a large coffee can I use to put all the left over fruit and veggies just for the chickens and turkeys, I do spoil them!!

Just cut up a watermelon, canteloupe, and honeydew melon and made sure to leave some of each kind on the rind along with all the seeds etc from the two melons. Saved all the rinds etc for treats for the girls. Had DD put it all in the "special" spot in the freezer to dole out as treats for the girls on hot days.

One melon for the hubby, one melon for the girls. That way he can't complain
